Recalculating Orders

While reviewing the order proposal under Orders the purchaser might see it is necessary to alter the proposed quantity or change some preconditions in the product details. This could for example be if there are some abnormal sales figures in the past that are affecting the forecast which will in turn also affect the order proposal (see Editing Product Detail) or if the confidence level is too high/low and needs to be altered.

If preconditions are changed, it is necessary to recalculate the order proposal for the corresponding product. This can be done by selecting the Recalculate button after selecting a product line and checking the box to the left of the Id number.

Important note: It is good practice to recalculate orders that have been for more than a day in the In Process stage or if it is known that some new information (order arrived, order cancellation, etc.) came after the order proposal was created. This is so the order will be based on the newest available information. If there are some manually change quantities, they will change but if that is not preferred do not select recalculate orders.
