The Simulation Tool is a sandbox environment where the user can change values needed to make orders and see how the committed changes will affect:
And other factors that will be cleared out in this documentation.
The Simulation Tool is a non-standard workspace, and can be added to your AGR Inventory set-up if you so choose. Contact your AGR consultant for more information.
The tool consists of four views, at first all but the Simulation Input view will be empty and that’s normal, to populate the other views you need to run a simulation. To switch between views simply select another view from the drop-down menu in the top right corner.
The Simulation Input view contains data used for calculations for the simulation tool. Here you can edit your data before running the simulation, all green fields are editable. Results from the simulation is available in the other three views that will be covered in the following subsections:
To run a simulation simply click the action drop-down menu like shown above and choose Simulation, please select a name that describes your simulation, e.g. “Increased Lead Time”.
After running a simulation, the columns can be reset by running the Reset Columns action. To add action, select the gears icon and add the action called “Reset Columns”. Running this action resets all columns!
The Simulation view shows results from the simulation action filtered on items. Here you can explore how the simulation affected single items.
The Simulation – ABC view shows results from the simulation action filtered on ABC analysis group. For this to work your item groups need to be in order. If this view doesn’t display any ABC group as shown below, please contact a consultant to fix your item groups.
The Simulation Results view shows results from the simulation action where results have been summed up for all items. To manage which columns are displayed in the results press the icon. To delete a single simulation result scroll to the far right, select “delete row” and refresh the page.
