Inventory Insights

AGR has predefined a common exceptions that can be applied as filters in the system (for example in Items, Reports, Dashboard, etc.). We do this to help the user manage these exceptions to their inventory. These insights also appear as labels) in the Item Card. These insights can be fine tuned to fit your business model in Settings.

Risk of Stockout

risk-of-stockout

“Risk of stockout” items, will include all the items in your inventory that have less days in stock (on hand) than the suppliers lead time + buffer.

Important things to note: + AGR sets the buffer to 20 days but you can fine tune this buffer according to how early you want to be alerted that items are in risk of going in stockout. + The supplier lead time used is the lead time of the items primary vendor.

Overstocked

overstocked

“Overstocked” items will include all items in your inventory that have more units in stock than the demand for the next order period times the multiplier.

Order period is lead time + order frequency (based on the item schedule/data mapping/AGR standard order frequency)

The multiplier should be adjusted according to your business model, based on how much “additional” stock you want to have on hand.

New Items

new-items

“New Items” are items that have first sale date within X months period and have no demand for the next 30 days. You should adjust the number of months based on how long you want to monitor your new items. If you want to generate demand for you new items you can choose either to connect item to an existing item, or manually create demand in the sales planner.

Once you have generated demand for your item it will no longer be considered a “New Item”.
